Playlist- Prana2Music, 8/1/11

Here we go, trying to get back on the horse- here is the playlist from tonight’s hugely fun, side bending towards “wild turkey” (the handstand variation, not the drink) yoga joint…

Bonus: Stevie playing “As”, on his ’08 tour.  I didn’t see this hit, but I did see him on this tour, and it was one of the most delightful musical experiences of my life.  The man is not perfect by any means, but onstage he is joy incarnate.  (and if you haven’t seen this, well, it’s legendary)

Band you should have heard of: Telefon Tel Aviv.  I was hipped to them by my college mentor Michael Cain, and spent way too many hours on the computer trying to replicate what they do.  Sadly, their output was small, and one of the duo committed suicide while they made their last, utterly depressing album.  (in tone, not in quality)  But “Farenheit Fair Enough” is brilliant skittery electronica, worth a listen or ten…
